Coconut oil is an ideal carrier oil for essential oils, which have many therapeutic applications.
For example, the combination of coconut oil with cinnamon and cloves essential oils is
used in the treatment of fungal infections.

Most so-called coconut soaps on the market today are not made from 100% coconut oil. Instead, they are made from highly refined coconut oil.
